Why Are There So Few Women Leaders? What Can You Do About It?
Find out about the three things every woman of any age can do to advance her career or position in family and community. Facebook’s COO Sheryl Sandberg is a strong advocate of woman power. Join us to watch her 15-minute TED talk that had gone viral and received more than 200,000 views. Then share your experiences with your table mates and pick an action you can implement immediately.
Chief operating officer of Facebook since 2008, Sandberg went from being chief of staff for the United States Treasury Department to vice president of sales and operations at Google. She graduated from Harvard and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Among many honors and position she has been ranked one of the 50 “Most Powerful Women in Business” by Fortune Magazine every year since 2008 and ranked #5 on Forbes’ “World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” last year. She serves on many corporate boards. She and her husband have two children and, she says, share family responsibilities equally.
