Wetlands are far from wastelands as they are so often depicted. Wetlands are not only home to many beautiful and rare plants, birds, and other critters, they are essential for controlling storm water runoff, reducing erosion, and filtering out pollutants before slowly releasing water into the ground. Join Volunteer Naturalist and nature photographer Bob Ball to discover the many incredible wonders found in swamps, bogs, and marshes in Missouri and through the United States. Ages 12 and up. Registration required. Call 417-888-4237.
